Rick Barnes


Rick Barnes, Founder and President of Rick Barnes Presents, Inc., is a highly accomplished and sought-after educational speaker who, through the use of humor, experience and information, empowers clients to achieve their highest potential.

He has been a featured speaker at over 2,000 college campuses nationwide, as well as being a frequent presenter at corporate, international, and non-profit organizations. As an esteemed life and career coach, Rick also helps guide those who, like him, have a passion for speaking and wish to pursue it as a career.

He delivers his powerful messages in an approachable, no-nonsense style that is received well by all types of audiences. Backed by over 20 years professional experience in higher education, Rick is extremely knowledgeable on the programs he instructs.

Rick Barnes holds a Master of Liberal Arts degree from Texas Christian University and a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas Tech University. He is a member of FarmHouse Fraternity, where he served on the International Board of Directors for eight years; the North-American Interfraternity Conference (NIC), where he served for nine years; and the Association of Fraternal Leadership and Values. Rick was President of the Association of Fraternity Advisors (AFA) and the AFA Foundation.

He is a respected member of the National Speakers Association (NSA) and is well known for his contributions to numerous books and print publications, specifically five leadership books he authored through his own company, TopLeader Publishing. Rick and his wife, Sheila, live in Keller, Texas. In his free time he enjoys sports, reading and furthering leadership development, both personally and professionally.
